Full Moon/Wolf Moon

January’s full Moon is a “Micromoon” this year. It means that the full Moon is at its farthest point from Earth. It’s thought that January’s full Moon came to be known as the Wolf Moon because wolves were more likely to be heard howling at this time. It was traditionally believed that wolves howled due to hunger during winter, but we know today that wolves howl for different reasons. This moon will reside in the sign of Cancer. Cancer full moons present a period in which we can take a step back and ensure that our heads are in sync with our hearts. You could feel more curious, adaptable, and open to embracing a different approach, especially in terms of how you’re relating to others — specifically, family members, given this full moon’s Cancerian themes. This could make for a lightbulb moment in which you can see the situation in an illuminating new way and may even be inspired to tackle it from a different direction.

This Full Moon is pushing us to move into the New Year with high hopes and individuality. With dedication and strength you can achieve all you set your mind to.

Below is a really cool chart on Pinterest related to the Wolf Moon. Give it a read!
