We made it to the most wonderful time of the year officially! The weather and the calendar are finally agreeing and most of us are in transformation mode. Bye bye Crocs hellooo boot season. Let's take a look at the energy behind this New Moon which starts on 9/14 at 9:40 pm and the Fall Equinox which begins next week on the 23rd.
The Harvest Moon
The New Moon tomorrow is in the inquisitive sign of Virgo. Virgo Energy embodies the principle of service as they love to feel useful in the world. This sign is also represented by the maiden or virgin, meaning "one who is whole unto herself". That is why the symbol/glyph looks like an "M" for maiden. Virgos are also very attentive to detail and very analytical (air sign). They tend to be worry bugs and very self-critical. Virgo's can cling to being of service to others so much so that they can sometimes neglect themselves. Examples of some Virgos are Mother Teresa, Bernie Sanders, and Prince Harry. In this moon phase, we should practice balancing our duties, establishing some order in our lives, and pushing forward with a fresh start. You may feel a strong urge to get organized in many areas of your life, go for it! Declutter your space, re-organize your plan, and be realistic. We still have Uranus and Neptune in retrograde so our minds may still be a bit scattered but Mercury goes direct a day after this New Moon! That's kind of huge, no one likes Mercury in the microwave. So don't wait for the "new year, new me" bullshit, start now.
Fall Equinox
The days will be shorter and the nights will be colder all in the name of Autumn. The Fall Equinox marks a time of change from summer to winter. Since we are starting a new season many spiritualists use this time to start anew and make changes that will help bring balance into your life. It's a time to reflect on what you accomplished in the summer and what is still pending. This is also a time of harvest and gatherings for some. As summer provided us with plenty of sun and warm weather it's now time to harvest what you farmed. Coming together with friends and sharing the fruits of your labor is a great way to celebrate the start of a new season. But no matter how you choose to celebrate this fall season is also about gratitude. It's a time to be grateful for the present and look forward to the future with hope and optimism.
All of these changes are coming in hot! But they are good changes that need to happen in order to propel us forward. I'm rooting for you guys and sending you all good vibes! Byeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
